For over 35 years, this conference has been the premier venue for scientists and clinicians in this field to share the latest research advances, exchange ideas, and generate new collaborations. This year's meeting will assemble scientists and clinicians with distinct and complementary backgrounds to present, discuss, and evaluate the latest developments in basic, public health, clinical, and applied research in the field of B-vitamins and one-carbon metabolism with the goal to advance medical and public health knowledge. The field of research covered by our conference has continued to advance rapidly over the past few years, with over 9,200 papers published in just the last 18 months only on folate and B-vitamins. As the majority of these papers are highly relevant to medical sciences and public health, this meeting will be particularly timely in focusing on the significance of these recent developments. This year's program has broadened the scope of the conference, encompassing all of the B-vitamins to include related public health, medical, and experimental issues.
