September 15, 2024 - September 19, 2024
This brand-new conference will bring together early-career and established investigators in the areas of aging and neurobiology with interests in cellular and molecular biology to connect, network, and collaborate on the newest novel research. This meeting is a joint venture by the American Aging Association (AGE; a FASEB member society) and FASEB. The program will present studies of different cell types and organisms in the brain, focusing on multiple signaling pathways and types of cellular communication that contribute to brain aging. The sessions will aim to generate new collaborations and explorations of the brain and its contributions to central and peripheral aging processes. There will be presentations on inflammation and metabolism, which are two key mechanisms driving aging and age-related disease. This conference is partly based upon the 2023 special issue of Journals of Gerontology Biological Sciences, which has since sparked a significant amount of interest in this topic.
